I understand how it is that Republicans lie about their sexual preferences, because they lie by nature.
But how it is that they can present themselves as "Christian" is far beyond me.

Is it that their lovers are understanding to the extent that they know these lying slime-balls have to present themselves as one thing in public, but live a completely different life behind closed doors?

That would mean his lover(s) is/are also a slime-ball(s).

He agreed to answer a reporter's questions, he said, because, now in private life, he wants to become an advocate for gay marriage and anticipated that questions would arise about his participation in a late-September fundraiser for the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER)

Yeah ... but the "questions" would simply have him confirm that his defense of Larry Craig's escapade in the MSP Airport was indefensible ... that's all ...!

Why is is it that all these white republicans turn out to be gay? What a bunch of self righteous, mean spirited, moronic political party, no humanity and common sense at all, they preach one thing and do the opposite. The Republicans stand for nothing.

Republican party =Zero, the party of liars and traitors.

As much as I abhor his inaction all those years, I applaud his courage in coming forward now. Let's hope he uses his contacts and experience to make the best of a bad situation.

I am wondering about R, wasn't he close to Mehlman? I mean he's acted like a serial groom, having burned through 3 wives. Also, his behavior on the radio has been somewhat erratic. Didn't he come down hard on drug offenders until he got caught. This has been bothering me for a long time, like a loose thread that's waiting to be pulled.

UVA? Do you have any info about R and Mehlman? Every time a shoe drops another one is shaken from the tree.

UVA? Do you have any facts to talk about? Did Mehlman have a history with R., during the old days. I thought they were close. Not only that but R has a rep as a serial wedding groom. He used to make cracks about holding ankles. That's been on tape. Oh well, I'm moving on to another page.

Coming out to any one is not an easy thing to do for anyone. I can applaud a young friend who worked for me a few years ago. His family kicked him out and he had no where to live or even an income. For some one my age it took years to even admit I was gay let alone tell any one else. No I can not blame anyone that has grown up years ago it is an experience that few can imagine with all the Hate that gays have to endure and for a older person well lets say the that it may be the hardest thing for them to do.

To day all my friends are gay and I have still not been able to tell but a few friend I once new. I can not blame Mehlman it is the hardest thing he will do and the people who were his friends before may never be again.
