Good-Bye Herman Cain! This will not be another Clarence Thomas styled "high tech lynching" sham.

I think Herman's "run" is over. If there is enough money on the table for this accuser from NBC, CBS, CNN, etc., she's gonna take it ...

Herman says the sources are "anonymous", and that he knows nothing of a "settlement".

But he appears to know all the details.

“It is just frustrating that Herman Cain is going around bad-mouthing the two complainants, and my client is blocked by a confidentiality agreement,” Bennett said in an interview. “The National Restaurant Association ought to release them and allow them to respond.”

Oh just wait until the money piles high on the "table".

There will be enough "dough" from the tabloids to buy her right out of that "agreement" ... that you can bet on!

Cain has already violated any "agreement" not to discuss this matter. I think that has dissolved the confidentiality of the matter.

I think so too ... but i also think there will be a large enough pile of NBC, CB, CNN money on the table soon to buy her out of that "agreement".

I hope she takes that hush money and throws it back at Cain .....

then she can state her peace.

I'll donate to the fund to return that hush money !

The agreement may not have included Cain, being as it was between the Restaurant Assoc. and the two women, not between the women and Cain. If Cain was also included in the NDA, then he may have violated the agreement himself. However, I think if that were the case, then Bennett and Politico would have already made that known. I'm not an attorney, nor have read the agreement, but, even if Cain was included in the NDA and he violated the terms of the NDA, would that actually automatically nullify the NDA for the Restaurant Assoc and two women.

Also, if the NDA did include Cain, and he did violate any terms of the NDA, he could be in even bigger trouble. However, the two main aspects of this is 1) was Cain included in the NDA agreement between the two women and the Restaurant Assoc, b) did he himself violate the NDA, and would that then automatically nullify the NDA with the two women. If Cain was included and has violated the NDA then he could be in big legal trouble.

I imagine we'll soon find out.

Tuesday on Fox News, Cain declined to comment on whether the non-disclosure agreement should be lifted, saying he is consulting with a lawyer about the possible legal implications. In a statement, the restaurant association said that it had not been approached by Bennett but that it would “respond as appropriate.”

I think Cain might actually be dumber than Palin.

    Cain is definitely intellectually challenged.

I am convinced he has no idea what he is saying at any given moment in time .... nor after.

It's hard for me to tell whether Mr. Cain is hellfire and damnation preacher or pimpdaddy, LOL. He could easily pass for either, IMO. Course I don't know any pd's, but I've seen plenty of the former in my time. As a child I used to envision being run over by a semi as I left the church steps, and was scared speechless I wouldn't be "ready" so would burn for all eternity.

Determined that whichever he may or may not be, or perhaps both, he isn't Presidential material period. I mean can you just imagine him with his finger on the red hot button that could/would blow up the entire planet? Sheesh!

I know .... my brain is having trouble sorting this one out too.

I don't think the GOP would ever have allowed him to get close to the nomination.

Yes, even if now he can somehow disentangle himself from the web of deceit and cover-up of what appears to be legitimate claims - thus a "pay-off" (ahem, "Agreement"), his legitimacy is irreparably damaged. Hmmmm, appears "somebody" made sure to see to it. Giggle.

Gee this game of politics sure has turned into a free-for-all. How embarrassing!!

The situation gets worse with each new flavor of the month for the GOPTeaBags. It will be interesting to see which of the remaining flavors they will pick for the next month. I am saying Santorum, as Gingrich and Paul are not anything the Tea Party or the GOPTeaBags will go with. Huntsman is out, as he too is a Mormon. Johnson and Roemer are too reasonable sane to be puppets for the GOPTeaBags. So Santorum, like the other brainless 'wannabe at any cost' runners Santorum, who is just a replay of all the others and also equally unqualified would seem to be the next flavor of the month.

And, Tink, nary a one of 'em holds a candle to our current Prez and have a chance against him. They'd better think of something and fast if Santorum is the choice, for I don't believe he could garner 10% in a GE. He's as nutty as a fruitcake and a male Palin. Underestimate them? Nah, I don't think so. There's simply nobody at home.

I agree Ladyinred. If Santorum has any lights on they are certainly barely there, and if anyone's at home, they can't find their a$$ with both hands and a flashlight.

Not one of the GOPTeaBag candidates is qualified in any way to be the President of the most powerful country in the world. Romney can't make up his mind from one minute to the next what he means or thinks, his business acumen is totally laughable as being of any qualification for the Presidency. His wife likely lays out his clothes for him in the morning to get dressed, otherwise he would not likely be changing clothes all day long because he can't make up his mind which one is the best suit, shirt, tie, socks and shoes combination to wear.

The man has no core values, ideals or policies as he is as shallow as they come. He reminds me a small child that runs around in a room full of adults with a big smile and saying,"Like me! Like me!"

Santorum thinks that, he is, therefore, he is the one who should be President. Like Cain, he feels he should not have to prove anything, know anything, or qualify for anything. All you need to do is just file your paper work and run and win. Then you hire the people who are supposed to know how to do your job and let them do the work and make the decisions for you, just like Bush did. I have not heard even one single comment Santorum has said that makes any sense with what is needed to be done to help with the economy or create jobs. He's just another GOPTeaBag parrot that keeps repeating the same GOPTeaBag BS mantra and declaring that raising taxes is the only way to create jobs, deregulate wall street, big oil and end the EPA will create jobs. Give all rights to the air, land and sea to the big oil to destroy as they wish, and the banks to turn the 99% Americans into feudal slaves for the corporate mafias and Wall Street cartels.

Nothing new with Santorum, just a different face and set of lies, and we get to see what the bones in his closet look like.

I think there will soon be several women coming forward; And I reject the notion they are motivated by money.

If it were me, I would NOT be inclined to sit back and watch Herman Cain trash me and the facts surrounding this obvious pattern behavior series of events.

The fact that Herman Cain has unlimited access to media and PR, and can state that one of the women had performance issues (I'm assuming work related). I would want the change to defend and redeem myself! That, in my opinion, has opened the door for the confidentiality agreement to be null and void.

The company tends to charge "performance issues" in these cases. Went through it myself over a decade ago--the company I was with changed the position I and a few others were in from salaried to hourly (after a year of being salaried).

I was advised that this meant they owed us back overtime for the year we had been wrongly classified as salaried. HR didn't fight the claim, paid us all back overtime, but a week after the check hit my bank, my supervisor became surly (we had gotten along well) and I was suddenly required to meet with HIS boss every week due to "performance issues."

After 4 months of this, I was called in and laid off. Spoke with several attorneys, but the company had covered their rears enough that I couldn't do anything. Didn't matter that a month before the check hit my bank that I had gotten an Employee of the Quarter award and was praised for working hard and doing a great job.

Even though it was their error and they legally owed the money to myself and my coworkers, I was blamed and lost my job. I learned then that if it happens in the future, wait until I am leaving the job before bringing such things up, consult an attorney beforehand (let him tell HR what is needed for me), and HR is not there for the employees but to cover the company's butt.

I just heard a sound-clip from Herman Cain, with his saying that very thing.

It is a pity that the common defense of a low-life man is trashing the work ethic and performance of a woman is seemingly acceptable in the 21st Century.

I can't wait (and hope for) the women to be released from the agreements so they can tell the truth about Cain. Can't wait to see him squirm when everyday women (perhaps with children) get to tell the world whom he is.

As I just commented in another thread, I saw one a lawyer for one of the women this morning (I think it was on "Today," but it might have been one of the other shows) intimating that he was going to pursue Cain's work performance remark as a breach of the settlement, which, of course, would allow the woman to talk.

However, as I also said earlier, the political problem for Cain isn't whether or not he's guilty of sexual harassment; his problem is his sudden recollections every time a newly discovered fact backs him into a corner.

I'll give it a week before all he's got left is his groupies.

I am a nearly life-long friend with a now behavioral psychologist (I was his buddy in high school, and we were in in undergrad study together at the same university).

He is convinced, after seeing this behavior for many years now, that Rick Santorium is actually "trolling" for a gay lover.

My buddy says Santorium's extreme public aversion to everything gay is a clear sign.

He's obsessed with all sex. I rarely hear/read anything from him that isn't related to sex in some way. It's as if he never matured past 14 years of age.
