As the McCarran-Ferguson Act gave States exclusive authority to 'regulate' the "business of Insurance" without interference from the Federal Government, Anti-Trust Law Exemptions are still the domain of the legislative branch of the Federal Government. As the emotion-fueled filings of lawsuits by 13 States today satisfy a primitive human drive, it raises a subject the Insurance Companies would just as soon we all forget is active. Those lawsuits might cause the Republicans more headaches than they bargained for.
